How To Crochet Slip Stitch

The slip stitch (abbreviated sl st ) is the flattest (or smallest) of all the crochet stitches. Start the basic square by making 5 chains, using a medium worsted weight yarn and size H crochet hook. Join your first chain with your last chain with a slip stitch. Slip stitches are commonly used in crocheting and knitting, as well as providing a way to make "invisible" or blind stitches in hand sewing. I thought for a very long time what to call this bind off.
